“I am a SUCKER for a good retaining wall”
Near dawn, B00kWurm led TheArkanite along a Homestead build with one last nervous question: did the retaining wall work? One edge was unfinished, the bottom wanted mossy brick, and oxidized copper could make the windows pop. But the wall itself earned an immediate yes.
For one corner of town, a month-old question had finally chosen a side. The Bugle once asked whether Homestead’s fresh dirt would become lawn, hillside, or retaining wall. Here stood the third answer. When TheArkanite placed the copper suggestion, B00kWurm saw it at once: “ahhh, I see it now.” The building gained more dimension; a long night’s effort got the neighborly second look it deserved.
THE PROMINENCE DESK — THE FACELESS, AGAIN.
The death notices became a wall of their own as Enrimo kept returning to The Faceless through corruption, tentacles, Aberrations, and the boss’s brutal pull. The rematch did not become a clean victory, but Enrimo came away with Frostfall, Stormbringer, and Tempest before turning straight back to relics, mana, and a fighting set described as dangerous even to wear. Prominence continues to define “preparation” generously.
FIRST NIGHT, FIRST PRESS.
Martini004 arrived on Homestead planning to look around. The tour wandered through a meadow, blueberries, tea blossoms, and iron, then quietly became a workshop: an andesite casing, metal sheets, and a Mechanical Press before bed. A newcomer who said machines sounded fun had already put the first one in motion.
