A ROOF, A ROUND, A BOOSTER SEAT

A booster seat was needed at the tavern tables in FaeBourne. kaestar had volunteered for the first beers; reaching the furniture presented another challenge. gingerlmao looked at the resulting seating and declared that they looked like babies in highchairs. I had come to cover a tavern, not a nursery with a drinks menu.

Earlier, the place had grown through a day of neighbourly opinions. Meggy73 came over to inspect changed trim and suggested ferns. xMammaMo considered the tables and delivered a promising review: “this makes me want a beer.” kaestar brought spruce after discussing an exchange for ores. The roof, much postponed and loudly resisted, finally went on.

Then gingerlmao placed a Wooden Brewingstation, discovered quite how large it was, made beer and offered the first round. RealIceCreeper thanked the host and requested a tab; Meggy73's photograph gathered the drinkers around the tables. The name was still being debated—three roads tavern or Menage Et Toi Tavern—but the neighbours had already found somewhere to raise a toast.
