Waterwheels And Big Plans

“the factory grows”

Yesterday on Homestead, the newsroom found Sylphik and Havensurge standing in the noble early age of Create: waterwheels turning, presses being tested, goggles being borrowed, and every small discovery immediately threatening to become a public works project.

The evening's best story was not a single machine, but the conversation around it. Sylphik had started the factory with the proper humility of a Minecraft engineer: "every beginning needs a starting point," followed almost immediately by plans for a lava tank and freedom from waterwheels. Havensurge arrived with the tour-guide energy of someone holding both advice and spare parts, explaining stress units, gear speed, smokers, stock tickers, shipping containers, and the sacred truth that a colored Create vault becomes much funnier when you put an employed mob beside it.

By the end, the workbench had become a transportation committee. Via Romana roads offered zoomies. Chains seemed willing to run through the ground. Trains sounded cooler. Underground tunnels sounded practical, which is often the first sign that nobody wants to dig them. Havensurge still had a power station and storage on the list; Sylphik was already thinking about long-distance packages.

Elsewhere, Arvee92 rang in day 3000, _Reformd_ found early shelter and village signs, and WildMitchell arrived with fresh iron, a bed, a campfire, a crossbow, and the scientific finding that boats can indeed be ridden off cliffs. Wolfprism, meanwhile, filed several field reports from an island tunnel that appears to belong to the skeletons for now.

Tomorrow's Track Survey

  • Will the bases get trains, roads, chains, or one very regretted tunnel?
  • Does Sylphik's factory graduate from waterwheels to lava power?
  • Can Wolfprism reclaim the tunnel under the island?
  • Send screenshots, witness statements, build updates, and suspicious machinery to the newsroom.
