Two Banks Of Spruce

“well be river neighbours”

The map desk found Homestead drawing itself in softer lines: one finished house, one new neighbor, and a river suddenly doing the important civic work of keeping friends close enough to wave at.

kaestar showed off the new house at evening, all proud walls and still-unsolved interior questions, then discovered the oldest law of settlement: once the bread runs out, agriculture stops being decorative. A few minutes later sengarx introduced themself, xsengar stepped in-game, and the neighborhood became a welcome committee with tree permissions.

The first local crisis was not hunger but bureaucracy. xsengar asked if they could punch one of kaestar's trees, learned about claims, got invited into the party, and suddenly everyone could see everyone. Omayor offered potatoes, kaestar offered what gifts they could, and the hunt for a home turned into a plan: build across the water, near spruce, near friends, near enough for someone to say river neighbors and mean it.

Naturally, the welcoming tour included pillagers. xsengar announced "WEVE BEEN SEEN," slew one hostile mob, was promptly introduced to a Vindicator, and returned with the cheerful confidence of someone already understanding Homestead's house style: cute, cozy, and occasionally armed. By late night they had found village signs, iron, diamonds, loot chests, and the beginnings of a little spruce house.

Elsewhere, WildMitchell's vineyard survived wizardly pillagers with advice from LegoBoy1024, a Tranquil Lantern, borrowed dirt, and a ferry ride into the trade line. Wolfprism respawned and slew the Ender Dragon, which made half the server jump, then learned vanilla's stern egg policy the hard way.

Questions From The Riverbank

  • Will xsengar find enough dark oak for that roof? Does WildMitchell name the vineyard dock before the wine starts moving? Can Wolfprism keep fireworks supplied for the next End run?
  • Send the paper a dock name, a build name, or the neighbor who quietly made your night easier.
