“the tracks grow longer each day”
By evening, the western spur ended at a fresh platform beside Ronicus’s island—rails first, building later.
It began with skhl20 asking whether Ronicus had a station. “no:(” came the answer. Within minutes they were measuring an island stop, shifting the tracks evenly between cliff and mountain, and discovering how much sea was occupying the proposed tunnel.
shaxter_323 brought tuff and andesite, helped drain the dig, and stood by while a wall drill took its turn at persuading the landscape. Ronicus kept the brick and pillar supply moving. A few hours later, skhl20 delivered the understated announcement: “theres your station.” The platform still wanted stone and a proper building, but the western line had kept yesterday’s promise. Near bedtime, its builder looked back at the work and said, “the tracks grow longer each day.”
Two More Places to Stop
Earlier, 4hrtz finished a house and celebrated by offering everyone cheesecake. Overnight, a search for somewhere to sell food ended when Ronicus pointed out a free boardwalk plot and Wolfprism quietly supplied tools and armor. By dawn, MaisFazenda—“MoreFarm” in Portuguese—was serving food and drinks with its own copper-to-gold coin prices and a bilingual menu. When koffeekki recognized the Portuguese, one shop opening became a small hometown hello.
Down at the castle, yesterday’s courtyard question received its answer: fountain first. kaestar and Wolfprism fussed over the one-block-off center, then softened the water with lilypads, pink lights and plans for paths. “i love it omgg” was the final inspection.
From Platform to Place
What shape does Ronicus give the station? Which MaisFazenda dish becomes the boardwalk favorite? Do kaestar’s paths curl around the fountain or march straight through?
