A stack of iron landed beside koffeekki, a pair of wings banked away, and the day briefly acquired the services of Mac_Attack9, airborne deliveryman. “mac is like a super hero,” came the report from below.
The better trick was how many hands stayed after the cape disappeared. koffeekki brought a new steam engine to life, watched it stop, and immediately had Omayor and shaxter_323 at the boiler. Faucets replaced a thicket of water pipes; straws gave the blaze burners a cleaner supper; a mechanical arm made for the discarded plan was saved for some future machine. “not for nothing,” shaxter_323 insisted.
Overnight, Mac_Attack9 walked the iron line from drills to millstones to washing fan, helping turn the promising tangle into a working first version. By dawn it was running more smoothly, and TheArkanite arrived in cardboard armor for the house call. The quadruple boiler was not the leanest design in Homestead, but it was handsome. “if it makes yhou happy and works dont worry,” came the ruling. koffeekki was already considering eight burners and a Japanese-style castle around them.
A Ticket Out of Steamford
New Steamford finally sent out a passenger jaunt: WildMitchell drove while Mac_Attack9 rode for a mission. The line carried them to another station, a frog village, and the kind of build that makes a traveler stop wandering. “now THIS. This is a Homestead,” WildMitchell said. The factory district had found its first export: visitors.
