A Meadow Makes Room

“I invited u though, don't want u to feel left out picking a spot:D”
C&C's plane settled among the flowers with Lezabel aboard and shaxter_323 at the controls. The new hangar's aircraft had left home.
That landing was the second tour of the day. Mac_Attack9 had already brought Lezabel out from spawn by train, past the rail depot and vineyard. Shax then took the search airborne, hopping from one flowered hill to another until a plateau finally earned, "i think i'd try to build here!"
Then XavierGaining, still looking for somewhere near other people, asked about the neighborhood. Lezabel answered that the hill was big enough for two. They walked the meadow, found the village below, traded possible building spots back and forth, and made plans to share the space between their homes for farms and a village expansion.
By evening Xavier's house had windows, Lezabel's pink-accented church had begun climbing toward its troublesome roof, and the town's trains and planes had done their finest work: putting two neighbors within waving distance.
The Cake Shop Found a Second Owner
Overnight, Wolfprism helped kaestar bury a power line, raise a steam setup and feed cake base straight into a smoker. Wolf sampled the product—"a taste test, testing the quality"—then hunted strawberries, made cheese, arranged flowers and settled beneath the string lights.
"I'm investing in your cake shop," Wolf said.
"Our cake shop," kaestar corrected.
By bedtime, fruit cake and cheesecake had crossed the counter, and the little cafe was cozier than several houses with permits.
Notes on the Kitchen Door
- Does the shared meadow get its first road? Which cake earns a place on the cafe sign? Do the underground village's snoring residents meet their new neighbors above?
- Show the newsroom the place where somebody made room for you.
