The word VANILLA landed in general chat in all caps. From there, the town split amiably: one camp missed the limits of the unmodded game; another could no longer imagine life without Create turning building blocks into an assembly line. Omayor liked the limits precisely because they made every result take longer—and therefore matter more. By evening, Bindspire had rediscovered that the opposite of modded Minecraft is not boredom. It is another kind of homesickness.

At the End portal, Boofreon called everyone in for a group photo and counted down. One minute later, Krealbyg_ had the dragon kill, the egg had changed hands, and SlimiAto was holding five teeth. The proposed loot policy was simple: one tooth per person before anybody took seconds. 4hrtz, who needed two for a knife and a non-hatchable egg, had found the day's true final boss: fair distribution.

During an evening tour, Omayor gave kaestar's neighborhood that exact description. kaestar answered with a recreated Middle-earth world to admire; Omayor answered with half the opening monologue and the realization that a rewatch was overdue. The harbor now has a literary district.
