THE HOUSE FULL OF NOBODY

“thats a lot of target dummys”

Dozens of target dummies crowd the paths and rooftops around kaestar's colorful Homestead settlement in daylight.
From the world · 2026-09-09

The figures had reached the roof and the basement before kaestar came home. An anonymous tip described them as a faceless, unarmed mob that arrived in droves and stood without speaking. The archived scene established something narrower—and wonderfully stranger: kaestar looked over the settlement and identified “a lot of target dummys.”

Removal proved less dramatic than the alleged invasion, though not especially merciful. A neighbor explained that every dummy had to be broken separately with a crouch-click. kaestar asked how to clear them, then spared the rooftop contingent. “the ones on my roof are staying,” the settlement’s newly appointed commander decided.

Who placed them? simplyknj immediately asked whether TheArkanite had “pranked you back.” Later, while kaestar reported fresh dummies appearing, they confronted Ark; Omayor called the result “wild stuff Ark.” That is strong circumstantial comedy, not an eyewitness account: nobody in the record was caught placing one, and TheArkanite gave no statement in the scene. The Bugle’s theory is that a prank attempted occupation and accidentally founded a decorative guard.

LAVA TAKES THE LONG WAY

Elsewhere on Homestead, Mello___ helped skhl20 carry lava through a long AE2 line to the workshop. Wireless links were considered, but skhl20 preferred the cable running visibly through the trench. By night’s end the connection was working, the workshop was filling, and a second destination was already being discussed. Infrastructure had acquired both a route and an aesthetic opinion.

Orders for the Night Watch

  • Does the rooftop dummy earn a name? Where does the lava line’s second stop land? Do any more silent recruits report for duty?
  • Send the desk a picture of the strangest thing that appeared at your build overnight.
