RAILTOWN GOES UNDERGROUND

Railtown’s day ended with a new promise underfoot: walkways beneath the city, safe from whatever rail traffic eventually crossed above. TheArkanite announced the system just before leaving, saying people who work, live, and play there could now travel underground.
An anonymous assignment to the Bugle supplied the grander map: the old train yard had been rechristened RailTown, the traversal tunnels were dug, and furnishing had not begun. The archived record supported TheArkanite’s announcement, but the desk found no photograph or independent tour of the finished passages. Until somebody sends muddy boots and pictures, tunnel extent and furnishings remain the source’s account. Our theory is simpler: RailTown invented pedestrian safety by hiding the pedestrians.
LUNCH COUNTER, NAME PENDING
A second anonymous assignment reported the first sandwich shop rising in Homestead’s new shopping district—not yet open, and not yet named. The public record confirmed the naming call, plus a suggestion box containing The Daily Grind, Steak Out, In-Ventrée, and Sand-Witch Hut. It did not independently show the building or opening status. The sandwiches, wisely, declined comment.
