The tree had already grown into the ceiling when CretinFreak paused the Homestead tour for a wall inspection. Keywas and shaxter_323, who had both helped improve the place, delivered a much kinder verdict than the old all-black version had earned. Three days into the build, several rooms still had no assigned purpose, a row of poles might yet become windows, and the ceiling tree had been placed firmly on the list marked “later.”
That did not stop the housewarming from becoming a work party. shaxter_323 brought blackstone, Keywas helped untangle the claim permissions, and Omayor was glad to accept an alliance. CretinFreak added everyone, offered ducks, and briefly established a duck closet. The base was unfinished in the best possible way: every empty room had become an invitation for a neighbor to leave one useful idea behind.
A GALLERY WITH A SOUNDTRACK
Before dawn, Katt_Bug walked cag6 through a finished mountain painting and an Andy Warhol-inspired work edged in gray. They inspected the pumpkin art with Meggy73, debated what belonged in the Louvre, and then moved from pictures to speakers. cag6 tried custom discs until one played, turning an unfinished gallery plan into a tiny listening room for the morning. It did not have a ribbon-cutting. It already had critics and a soundtrack.
