THE MATERIALS HAD OTHER IDEAS

“feels natural this way”
Lanterns hung beneath the roof, sheep stood by the front fence, and pink flowers climbed the hillside around P4iniac’s starter house. The photograph arrived in #screenshots that evening with a builder’s modest declaration of happiness. I would have stopped at that fence too.
TacticalEchos answered with “prettyyyyy”; Boofreon admired both the house and its surroundings. P4iniac then explained that cute had not been the plan. They had simply worked with materials they could grab, and the house had come out that way.
There was something pleasing about a starter house receiving compliments and its builder effectively handing the credit to the supply pile. The roof had acquired its dark outline, the entrance its lanterns, and the neighbours a photograph worth pausing over. No grand unveiling was needed.
P4iniac called the result natural. Judging by the replies, the house had made a good introduction for itself.
THREE BOOKS, SEVERAL SPELLINGS
Overnight in FaeBourne, RealIceCreeper had already protested a misspelling in a first sentence before describing plans for a trilogy to Katt_Bug. The books would connect through ideas and references, but each was meant to stand alone: readers should be able to pick up any one.
A separate book might get another pass over its spelling, but the trilogy’s first instalment took priority. This sounded like a substantial writing project for someone who had also arrived asking about getting on with building. One block, or one corrected word, at a time.
THE NEXT BLOCK, THE NEXT PAGE
- What will P4iniac add to the starter house next? Will RealIceCreeper share a page from the planned trilogy?
