A Backpack, Six Logs, and Somewhere North

Overheard in Homestead

“ur my hero i gotta find a place to live now >:D”

Midafternoon, zarexx13 asked the question every town eventually has to answer: "what is the point of a server" if everyone plays separately? Homestead did not settle it with a speech.

Dur4bl3 opened the doors to an iron farm, showed him the switch, and offered nearby land. By evening, eroswisteria arrived looking for a place near neighbours and the railway. TheArkanite explained the growing train network. Lezabel suggested the northwestern crowd, then appeared with a backpack when the newcomer ran out of room for every charming pelican, flower and fruit encountered on the road.

Five minutes after calling Lezabel a hero, eroswisteria heard codedy ask for six dark oak logs and answered from beside a forest: "im like right by a dark oak forest:D." Later, Omayor offered a spot in the northern settlement, close enough for company and far enough for breathing room, with a future train back to spawn.

That was the day's answer: a server is where the machine has a switch for somebody else, the backpack arrives before the house, and six logs can travel before the railway does.

Elsewhere Along the Line

TheArkanite readied the Nether portal for a public lava-delivery train, prompting codedy's excellent "omg lava train??" Overnight, a Ravager camped CookEPants's grave so thoroughly that /back placed them inside it. Mello___ stepped in, and the expedition finally escaped with a grateful, "Thanks again, that was a mess."

Next Stops and Safer Graves

  • Does eroswisteria find the snowy neighbourhood spot? When does the lava train make its first delivery? Has that Ravager reconsidered its career?
  • Tell the newsroom about the small favour that made Homestead feel shared yesterday.
