TEA AT THE EDGE OF A NEW WORLD
A large pot of tea was waiting when FaeBourne opened, because GE4RZ had prepared properly for an all-night campaign: fairy wings first, world domination second. Then the gate lifted. Omayor called everyone into a group, kaestar stepped into the world they had helped build and typed, "IM SO HAPPY:,)," and Ronicus hurried in asking the entire server not to do anything until they arrived.
FaeBourne declined to wait. The opening welcome committee was a Minotaurus, which sent Omayor and several neighbors through the respawn screen within minutes. Roads led toward villages, wild crops came out of chests, and the first bed became a strategic objective while monsters crowded outside. It was less a stately ribbon-cutting than a town sprinting through the ribbon together—and exactly as delighted as that sounds.
A newcomer found the crowd before the night was over. DekaBobeka, new not just to Bindspire but to public servers, asked where to begin. Boofreon offered the simplest town wisdom: join the new world, ask for a teleport, then ask where help is needed. DekaBobeka crossed into FaeBourne shortly afterward. A Creeper supplied the less gentle half of orientation.
Opening Night at the Club
Before the rush, gingerlmao gave Meggy73 and Keywas a tour of the finished club. Red solo cups had arrived, the music was on, and the entrance still required dodging trains. Meggy73 praised the room, pressed the hype button, and immediately experienced kinetic energy. Opening-night quality control remains an athletic discipline.
Paths Beyond the First Hill
- Which road gets FaeBourne's first permanent neighborhood? Do GE4RZ's fairy wings arrive before world domination? What will DekaBobeka build after the first Creeper?
- Send the desk a first-night landmark, a new-home picture, or the name of someone who helped you find the road.
